Does blogging make money? Totally! Blogs are a great way to earn money online. Here are a couple of reasons
it is smart to start blogging.
- Blogs rank well in search engines.
- Blogs are very easy to market.
- Blog topics can go viral quick because of the sticky content (people keep coming back to read more).
You could actually become famous rather quickly if you offer great content and you write often enought. You could develop a pretty large fan base of readers who subscribe to your RSS feed and read your content on a daily basis.
If you are wanting to make money with a blog then you need to make sure that you make a commitment to blog often because readers expect it and also search engines love it. The more you post to your blog the more
the spiders visit your site and rank your blog in the engines. Also every time you post, you can ping your site at the various ping locations. This can also bring in more traffic.

narrow topic. He is the exception to the rule.
Readers probably don’t care what you had for dinner, unless you’re John Chow or you’re running a food blog. They want to read about stuff related to your niche. If you’re running a blog about golfing, at least 75% of your posts should be related to golf. Preferably 100%.
Try to keep your blog on topic. Talk about the different aspects of golf. Maybe golf tournaments is one category and golf clubs is another. When you talk about your niche, refer people to your affiliate link that sells the product that you are talking about.
If you are in the service business, you can do well with blogs. An example would be of a graphics designer or writer. You could use the blog to keep in contact with your clients. You could even use the blog to make money by offering specials to your readers from time to time.
Another way to use blogs is to give samples of your work or maybe special reports that presell your expertise.
One thing to remember is if you want to go into the blogging business and make money from your work, you need to get a plan as far as where you want to take the blog. You need to treat it just like a business because it IS your business. Does blogging make money if you just let it sit and do nothing with it? Nope.
More Examples of Making Money With Blogging
The biggest key to any site whether it is a blog or not is the amount of traffic you are getting to the site. Once you have the traffic, you can make money. Here are some more examples.
- Sell advertising space on your blog.
- Join a free contextual advertising network and have links throughout the blog where if someone clicks on the link, you get paid.
- Get Paid per post. There are a few companies out there that will pay you to post information about a company. They are free to join.

You want to brand yourself so don't use one of the free extentions that the blogging communities give you. This makes it more professional to the person who lands on your website.
